Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced
  • ½ tablespoon fresh turmeric (or ½ teaspoon ground)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves
  • cup pineapple, chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Lemon Verbena tea bag (tag removed)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, lemon slice, honey

Instructions

  • Add ginger, turmeric, mint, pineapple, water, and the tea bag to a medium pot.
  • Bring to a simmer on low heat.
  • Once simmering, remove from heat and cover.
  • Let the tea steep for 10 minutes.
  • Strain into your favorite mug or pitcher.
  • Stir in optional ingredients if using.
  • Serve hot, or chill and pour over ice.

Notes

  • You can prep this tea ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • I like to make a double batch and keep it in a mason jar.
  • If you're going iced, add the apple cider vinegar and lemon after it's chilled.
  • Want it sweeter? Just a dab of honey does the trick.
